Young Male Baboon and Female Vervet Rescue -- 27 JUNE 2003

In cooperation with the Kenyan Society for the Protection of Animals (KSPCA), we've taken in two new primates that were being kept illegally in captivity for sale or trade.  Both were mal-nourished and the baboons legs were badly atrophied, but seem to be slowly recovering and gaining strength as the days progress.  Stay tuned for updates on these guys and news on their release!

UPDATE --> 25 JULY 2003

These primates were in bad shape.  Here a few photos of the initial intake where we bathed them to remove the lice and other skin pest problems they had.
