WHO ARE WE?
The current organisational structure of The Colobus Trust follows.  Directors include prominent members of the Diani business and conservation community who additionally play a critical role in the environmental protection of South Coast Kenya -- Raymond Matiba, Luciana Parazzi, Lulu Archer, former Project Manager Dr. Julie Anderson, Elias Kimaru of WWF.  In addition to the International Volunteers that The Colobus Trust has at the cottage, strategic operations and day-to-day management of the Trust and its activities fall to the managers and staff:

Onesmus Macharia

Macharia comes to the Trust with a wealth of wildlife management experience.  He formerly worked for the Kenya Wildlife Service in this area as Senior Warden.  He has also worked in various private wildlife sanctuaries in Kenya.  He has a MSc in Conservation Ecology.
Macharia joined the Trust in March 2007.

Peter Ndungu

Field Assistant

Peter joined the Field Assistant team full time in the fall of 2006. We're very lucky to have Peter as he has a drivers' license and can do the shopping as well as drive our volunteers and staff to various job sites. He also helps with regular field work like tree trimming and bridge maitanence.

Mary Mandela

Mary is our newest marketeer and very good she is too. Not only does she know the trust and our work, but brings a big smile everyday!
Jared Esuchi

Wakuluzu's resident magician and culinary genius, Jared keeps volunteers happy and (very) full.
Issa Juma

The heart of the Colobus Cottage, Issa makes sure everything is in top shape each day.
