Volunteer Opportunities
Want
to do your part to help the Angolan Colobus monkey fight
extinction? Become a Colobus Trust Volunteer! We have up to 10
volunteers from all around to world at the Trust at any one
time, to
assist us with the many areas of work we need help with. For
example: cleaning/feeding rehabilitating monkeys, primate census
data gathering, education workshops for local area schools, tree
planting, 'colobridge' maintenance, office work, bottle feeding infant primates in our care and much
more. For more information please read our volunteering
details. There are two ways you can come to the Trust as a volunteer:
Colobologist
(typically around 3 months):
If you would like to get a deeper understanding of environmental
concerns and actions in a developing world context, come and
join us for three months. You must be at least 22 years of
age, and should have at least one degree and/or work experience in
a field that would be useful to us. We need skills ranging
from primatologists to graphic designers to carpenters! Colobologists can apply directly to
the Colobus Trust with an application form (below on this page)
and CV or resume.
Eco-volunteer
(typically around 3-4 weeks) :
If you don't fit our criteria for volunteering as a Colobologist
or have only a short time for a volunteering holiday,
consider joining us through BTCV, World Wide Experience, Global
Spirit, Live & Learn Travel or Go Eco. Contact these organizations
directly for more information on their special individual
programs to the Colobus Trust.
